London Metropolitan University

L

ondon Met is as dynamic and multicultural as the city in which it is situated. Here you will meet and study with people from around the world, who will enrich your learning and help you, grow in all aspects of your life. Since the students come from a range of backgrounds, it is always made sure that the education that is offered is accessible and flexible.

The teachers are passionate about inspiring you. In 2011 London Met was awarded the highest accolade from the government's Quality Assurance Agency (QAA). More than two thirds of the research was judged to be 'internationally recognised', 'internationally excellent' or 'world leading' by the most recent Research Assessment Exercise.

At London Metropolitan University it is believed that everyone has the right to an affordable quality education. Fees for 2012/13 have been set at levels significantly lower than other Universities, and the courses recently received top marks from the UK's Quality Assurance Agency.

London Met is a great place to study, located in the heart of one of the world's most exciting cities. It stands out because of the quality courses offered in a vibrant, socially diverse environment which will eventually help you launch your career.

The City
London is amazing. It is a truly 24-hour city, full of history, with an incredible choice of entertainment. The University buildings are dotted around London, but principally in two centres: the City centre of London, and in North London.

City Campus
The City campus has a prime location in the heart of the City of London and the vibrant Aldgate area of east London. Both artists and business people are equally at home in this area, where skyscrapers mix with trendy cafes and galleries. Around the corner from the Calcutta House and Central House buildings, you'll find cutting-edge exhibitions at Whitechapel Art Gallery, clothes bargains at Petticoat Lane market and retro gems at the eclectic Spitalfields market.

North Campus
The North London campus in Islington sits within a multicultural community, full of lively bars, beautiful parks and independent shops. Antiques markets and period houses characterise the area, which as football fans will know, is also home to premiership football team Arsenal. There are many local entertainment options, from cinemas and theatres such as the Almeida and Sadlers Wells, to stand-up comedy, clubs and music and dance venues.
